Gaurav Marya is a born entrepreneur. He started his first business at the age of 16 and over the years has started and sold some 15 other businesses ranging from mobile phones, career advisory, restaurants to entertainment business, and others. It was not until the age of 24; Gaurav discovered his real passion in franchising. He was exposed to it for the first time while on a business trip to United States in 1998 when franchising was the buzzword over there. It was then when he dreamt similar happenings in India. The dream turned into reality in 1999 when he founded his own company.
Today widely known for initiating the franchise revolution in India, he is the visionary force behind the India's largest integrated franchise and retail solution company, Franchise India Brands Ltd, a banner that encompasses a variety of domestic and international portfolio of franchise and retail companies, apart from offering franchise and retail consulting services. Under Gaurav's visionary leadership, Franchise India has moved from strength to strength, and is well acknowledged for revolutionizing the way companies plan the course of action for their business development.
Mr. Sachin Marya
Sachin Marya is an architect by qualification and CEO & Publisher, Franchise India Holdings Limited. An entrepreneur and a media person, Sachin has assisted numerous franchising and retail companies to achieve spectacular success. Sachin has been personally credited for organising the franchising in India through his role in franchise and retail media. He has also represented India at numerous international forums including prestigious World Franchise Forum in Thailand in 2005, apart from presenting numerous knowledge seminars in India.
Ms. Sonya Chowdhry Grover
Ms. Sonya Chowdhry Grover started her career in Franchise India Brands Ltd. in 2004 as an Manager Franchise Support and rose to the level of Director-Planning and Strategy. Sonya's portfolio includes the development and consolidation of investment based Franchise Model for the clients' appointment of franchisee and spearheads the team that is dedicated for the overall success of the franchise program. She is instrumental for the launching of "Club City" that started with a single brand and proliferated to 14 brands in a period of 3 years. She is responsible for the business strategy, entry and expansion of the international brands in the Indian market. Sonya holds a MBA degree in Marketing from Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad.
